in a wii vote several months ago the question was; which could you live without electricity or water. we got the wonderful opportunity to answer that question with a broken water line into our house. our back yard was flooding as was the crawl space in our basement. we also shared the joys of a flooded yard with 2 of our neighbors as we filled their yards rather quickly as well. we went roughly 3 days without running water. when the insurance companies plumbers came out it only took 4 guys an hour and a half to fix it. to survive, we had 5 five gallon containers of water that we used and refilled and family close by where we could take hot showers. water was restored and i could do those things that i love to do: dishes and laundry!
